Controversial Topics #3: Repeal The Hyde Amendment(bars the use of certain federal funds to pay for abortions) And Fund Abortions.
Let's discuss controversial issues! In this blog, I will be discussing the benefits and downsides of first abortion. I have spent my old time researching into this topic, so some things I say might not be what everyone else says.

Benefits of Funding Abortions

1- It is a constitutional right, and everyone in the US should be able to have this right.
Even if the pregnancy isn’t caused by raping or getting the mother in danger, the parent should have a choice. They might’ve gotten an unwanted pregnancy, and they want to have that abortion. Why should a parent not be allowed to have an abortion? It’s in the constitution, and even if some people have strong thoughts about it, the parents still have the right to do that.
“No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States.”
The Fourteenth Amendment from the Bill of RightsSupreme court rulings have said that women are protected under the 14th amendment -- and the 14th amendment also says that you can’t simply take away a person’s rights.

2- Some people cannot afford to have a child as it is very expensive.
Some people don’t have the money to afford a child. The cost of having an abortion is multiple times smaller than raising a child to adulthood.
One study showed that nearly 60% of women on Medicaid were often forced to divert money that would otherwise be used to pay their daily and monthly expenses, such as rent, utility bills, food and clothing for themselves and their children.  Some even resorted to pawning household goods to come up with the necessary cash.  Many Medicaid-eligible women delay their abortions, increasing their medical risks, while they scrape funds together.  Other women have been forced to carry their pregnancies to term or to seek illegal abortions.  Studies have shown that from 18 to 35 percent of Medicaid-eligible women who want abortions, but who live in states that do not provide funding for abortion, have been forced to carry their pregnancies to term.

3- Putting unwanted babies into foster homes won’t do us any good.
Sometimes, foster care placements are made that are just as abusive, if not more so, than the home from which the child was removed. The Grand Jury learned of arrangements where sexual and physical abuse took place. There was even a case where the infant died.
According to liftingtheveil.org, a kid named Terry has been moved in and out of foster homes starting at age one, during which he showed severe behavioral problems including making suicidal comments.

4- People with financial issues may not be able to afford the extensive care and money it requires to maintain a healthy fetus.   The fetus requires the pregnant woman to eat extensively more, to sleep more, to stop working in their jobs, to crave different foods, etc., which all cost a sizable amount of money.
If you don't have health insurance,  the average cost of prenatal care is about $2,000. According to WEBMD.com.

5- Unfit parents should be allowed to have abortions--it will release the child from pain and neglect that it does not deserve.
A mistake could’ve happened during contraception that caused a fetus in the mother’s uterus, and have an abortion, though a big decision, can make the mother feel relieved that they have a choice.

Downsides of Funding Abortions

1- It is cruel - the baby should have a chance at life.
You shouldn’t decide whether the child lives or dies, it’s not your life. Every life is a life and to abort the baby would be murder. You are devastating women and are the cause of grieving men.
Even if we spend a lot of money, you cannot use the money to get life back once you complete your abortion.

2- According to the Bill of Congress, they prohibit funding abortions.
According to the 113 Congress Senate bill, In general.—No funds authorized or appropriated by Federal law, and none of the funds in any trust fund to which funds are authorized or appropriated by Federal law shall be expended for any abortion.

3- When all pregnant women have abortions just because they cannot afford to raise a child, this will deprive the society and country of many children that could grow up to contribute significant accomplishments to America.
If you have a child, there’s a chance they could grow up to cure cancer, end a war, make a difference. That child might be the president of the United States one day, or the next big movie star, or a famous scientist. You have to let them grow to be who they were meant to be. If you kill the child while they’re in the womb, you eliminate any chance of them changing the world.

4- For one thing, abortions don’t always work; sometimes they render young women sterile and unable to produce any more children. Other times, they ultimately fail, ending up severely injuring the mother.
Abortions are not perfect, and neither are doctors. Operations and surgeries sometimes fail, especially if the categories of the Hyde Amendment apply to the woman, and the person is a victim of rape or circumstances.
According to lifenews.com, there were 1,270 babies born after failed abortions in the US. Moreover, in 2010, there were 24,586 perinatal deaths in the United States.

5- The money can be used for other things.
Some abortions don’t go successfully. You would be spending more money on this. We have a massive debt that we need to pay back to all the countries that we owe. Instead of funding abortions, we could pay the debt we owe to countries.
According to Forbes.com, in 2004, the federal debt was $7.3 trillion. Thi debt rose to $10 trillion when the housing bubble burst four years later. Today it exceeds $18 trillion and is projected to approach $21 trillion by 2019. http://www.lifenews.com/2014/08/04/abortion-has-cost-the-u-s-16-trillion-in-lost-revenue-the-size-of-the-national-debt/ Abortion has cost the U.S. 16 million dollars in lost revenue! We can use that money to feed and house the poor, maintain our highways and bridges, and help refugees. We can use the money for sex education and manufacture condoms so that women wouldn’t even need abortions.
What is my opinion after all of this?
God, after writing this and looking and my notes, I have realized that this is sh*t I mean the arguments weren't even that good and cheesy. Lmao, but I think funding abortions wouldn't hurt. Hopefully, the next one will be better; it will be about free college, etc. Trump, you will have to wait your turn.
