World Animal Day (by

Hi girls!
It's World Animal Day today! That's why we'd like to give some extra special attention the all the animals in the world.
Most people that have a pet will buy them an extra snack on World Animal Day. But do you stop to think about animals outside of your own home?
Factory farming
A factory farm is a large-scale industrial operation. It's so big that 2/3rd of all farm animals ar factory farmed. A factory farm houses thousands of animals for food and treats them with hormones and other chemicals.
"I am a battery hen. I live in a cage so small I cannot stretch my wings. I am forced to stand night and day on a sloping wire mesh floor that painfully cuts into my feet. The cage walls tear my feathers, forming blood blisters that never heal. The air is so full of ammonia that my lungs hurt and my eyes burn and I think I am going blind. As soon as I was born, a man grabbed me and sheared off my beak with a hot iron, and my little brothers were thrown into trash bags as useless alive."
In other words: animals live a horrible live just so we can eat them. Naturally, we eat meat. It tastes nice and it contains nutritients that are healthy for us. However, you don't need to eat factory farmed animals.
Biological meat
Instead of eating factory farmed animals, choose to eat biological meat. This meat comes from animals that haven't been treated with as many chemicals, have more space to live in and have generally had a better life. It might be slightly more expensive, but you can just choose to eat a little less meat a day and replace it with vegetables.
DON'T EAT ANIMALS ON WORLD ANIMAL DAY!
Will you be eating meat on World Animal Day, or will you take this one day to make a statement? To stand up for those who can't stand up for themselves? Let us know by voting on the poll or leaving a comment.
