Urban Explorers (by Private)

Urban exploration, also called urbex or UE, is a hobby of sorts. People who do this go to abandon areas that are not limited to abandoned houses, abandoned hospitals, abandoned hotels, abandoned castles, etc. People who explore these areas take pictures and document about the history behind the place they are visiting. Trespassing is usually involved however not always. The people who do this respect the area around them and are only there to take pictures and explore. Most do not take objects back with them as souvenirs. I would also like to mention that urban exploration is tricky and dangerous! Many who attempt this type of hobby face dangerous situations of either being caught if they’re trespassing or bumping into dangerous people in these areas!

There are many Youtubers as of late who dedicate their videos to urban explorations, and they are often called urban explorers. Here are two that I personally watch myself!

"This Is Dan Bell." is another one of my go-tos. The channel is run by Dan Bell, who travels and goes to various abandon places and has done this for a much longer period of time than the TheProperPeople. He currently has a couple of playlist series going on and one of my favorite series is the abandoned mall series. He also goes to a bit more dangerous places that includes an encounter with the police and some argumented supernatural encounters. Dan gives facts about the history of the area just like TheProperPeople and sometimes has his friends go with him to these places.

"TheProperPeople" is a personal favorite of mine. This channel includes two guys named Bryan and Michael. Both travel to various abandoned places and they occasionally have their friends or other Youtubers join with them. Both are very careful whenever they travel and try to gain permission before entering into any abandoned area however there are times where they do trespass. In their videos, they give information regarding the area they are visiting and try not to break any items in the area. They also do not take any items from the area they are visiting and take pictures instead.

What do you think about urban explorers? Would you do it? Why or why not?
