Hey guys! Georgia here. I hope you're all doing well and that you're enjoying this glorious weather we're getting. (if you have nice weather that is, we sure do in the UK!)
Today is all about movies and here are the movies I love that have come out this year or are coming out this year. Be sure to tell me your favs in the comments!
Pride and prejudice and zombies:
This has got to be my favourite film of the year so far. It was a take on Pride and Prejudice and honestly it was done so well. I thought that the fact that it had zombies in the film could end up being a bit stupid and not very good, but surprisingly it worked. I don't want to give too much away, but I think it would be a great watch for the summer. And I love it even more knowing that one of my fav VP members appeared in the film!
Me Before You:
I think this is going to be the perfect summer romantic film to watch even though it's a heart breaker. Sadly I haven't watched it yet myself, but I know it will definitely be something I see over the summer. I've read the book, so I know the film will be good too. I just need to remember to take lots of tissues with me. I won't be getting through the film without tears!
The BFG!
The BFG is being released on the 22nd of July, and I can not wait. It's one of my favourite Roald Dahl books, and I remember enjoying the cartoon version of the film when I was a little girl. The trailer looks amazing, and I am really excited to go and see the film with my family to see what it's like.
And the final film I'm looking forward to coming out is Bridget Jones' baby! I love the Bridget Jones films, and I can't wait to see what happens next.
Let me know if you're looking forward to any of these! :)
Alexys here once again, hi hello! While summer is all about fun in the sun (okay maybe not because if you're anything like me, the sun is the enemy, and the comfort of your room is always a better option), summer is also the time when we're mostly free (or at least have more time for ourselves than usual), and that means... MOVIES! I'm here to tell you about some movies you should definitely see this summer. Starting with Pixar's Finding Dory and ending with the Conjuring 2, here are my favourite summer movies!
The sequel to "Finding Nemo", "Finding Dory" is exactly as the title says, Nemo and his father Marlin are searching for Dory, who seems to have disappeared from their home. There are new characters introduced, and while the plot follows the general direction of the first movie, this Disney animation will put Dory into a new light. You'll laugh during this movie, by no chance just a couple of times, but there will also be heartwarming moments or even sad moments. So if you're a little more sensitive to plots and characters, prepare to shed a tear or two (it'll be happy tears, no worries).
About the Conjuring 2, although it's the second part, it's actually the prequel to The Conjuring 1. It tells the story of Lorraine and her husband, Ed, which try to save a family from the malefic spirits haunting their house. I personally found it to be a little better than The Conjuring 1. There are jump scares, so if you're weak of heart, it's not really meant for you, but there's also suspense, which will keep you on the edge of your seat. If you're a horror fan, you might definitely want to watch this.
'Kubo and the Two Strings' is an animation which has yet to come on screens in August. The company which developed Coraline and ParaNorman is also behind this movie. It's a tale of Kubo who accidentally unleashes a vengeful spirit upon his village and then embarks on an adventure through ancient Japan to find supernatural armor. The animation seems lovely and the idea of visiting ancient Japan through the eyes of a boy who must save his village sounds entertaining enough to make me watch it.
Now you see me 2. The four horseman have a new member as well as a new rival (none other than Daniel Radcliff) and are ready to deliver their next biggest show and show the world the biggest stunt they've ever seen. It aired on the 10th of June but due to lack of time, I've yet to see it. That doesn't mean I'm truly excited to watch this movie on the first occasion I get. After having seen Now you see me 1, I can't possibly miss the sequel to it.
What are the summer movies which you plan on seeing?
