As the school year slowly comes to an end, many of us will be attending prom! Whether you're soon to graduate from middle school, high school, or even college/university, prom or your last formal school dance is a spectacular, once in a life time experience and every girl should feel like a princess (second only to your wedding, perhaps!) - or Prince, if you're a guy :-). This special edition of this week's Sunday article will give you helpful and easy tips - from your dress to the special day!

• The dress is probably one of the most important aspects of prom! But unfortunately, not everyone can afford $500 dresses. Here are some alternatives under $150 - and if you're not in the US, have no fear! They ship.

Hair/Makeup/Other

• If you posses great make up and hair skills, which I unfortunately lack, you can do it on your own. This is probably the best option as you can get it exactly how you want it on the actual day of the prom.
• Of course, you can get your mom, sister, or other family member to do it!
• Alternatively, you can get ready with a group of your gal pals and do each others hair, makeup, and share your advice and tips with each other. If you and your friends want to go all out and not in the mood for doing hair and makeup, you can all contribute and hire an MUA or Hair stylist. Now, how to find a cheap but good one, you say?
• The best option is probably to visit sites like groupon for local salon deals. Many times, you can get over 50% discount using groupon, amazon deals, google offers, etc.

Getting There
I know some people that have gone to their prom by public transportation, and others that take a limo. Although renting a limo may seem a little out of your budget, if you contribute and split the cost with your friends, you often only have to pay around $20. This way, you can really feel like a princess with your own chauffeur whilst not messing up your dress!
