Here are some tips to help prepare for natural disasters like tornadoes!:
*Have a natural disaster plan in place. Talk to your family! It's better to be prepared than suffer!
*Make sure to have a disaster box with necessities like canned foods, flashlights, extra clothes, tennis shoes (to walk in debris if you have too), etc.
*Make sure to have a weather radio handy in case your power goes out and you cannot be informed through the TV or internet.
No matter what in emergencies such as tornadoes always move to a place of safety such as a basement, if you have one, basically anywhere underground! If you do not have a basement or shelter underground you need to head to the bathroom in your house, because a heavy bathtub could protect you from flying debris. The bathroom supports the pipes which adds security to you.
