Apex Legends is a new free-to-play multiplayer battle royale game from EA that has become very popular in a very short time. I think it is safe to say that we have all heard of the game Fortnite and the popular book and movie trilogy Hunger Games; well, Apex Legends is basically a mix of those but with much better graphics than Fortnite. Apex Legends is playable on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.

In the game, you will be put in a squad together with 2 other people and then you get to pick 1 legend, character, out of the 8 different legends, out of which 6 of them are free. You and your squad, together with all the other squads, will be dropped in King’s canyon where you have to find loot while also making sure your team stays inside the border and doesn’t get killed. Your squad has to fight your way to be the last squad standing and that way be the champion. There will only be 1 winning squad that will earn the money and fame they get for being the champion. Here are some facts about the legends and their abilities:

Bloodhound is a very mysterious person: his name and age are both unknown. There are rumours about him being very wealthy, a murderer, a former slave and so on but none of the rumours have been confirmed, so at the moment all we know about Bloodhound is that he has some incredible tracking skills.

Alexander Nox, a 48-year-old who used to work as a scientist at the Humbert Labs, is the person we know as Caustic. He was one of the brightest scientists and he worked with developing gases, but soon felt the need to test the gases on something living… Nox was proud of his creations and loved to see their ability to destroy anything they touched. However, the head of the lab found out what Alexander Nox was up to and confronted him, which ended with the lab in flames and the chief dead. Nowadays Alexander Nox is missing but Caustic is finding new test subjects in the Apex Games.

Gibraltar is actually the only character in the game, so far, that uses his real name… Well, he only uses his last name but his full name is Makoa Gibraltar and he is 30 years old. His parents are search and rescue association volunteers, so Gibraltar has always been skilled at helping others in dangerous situations. However, it wasn’t until recently he understood the value of helping people in need. Gibraltar and his boyfriend had stolen his father’s motorcycle and managed to get trapped by a deadly mudslide; his parents saved them and his father lost an arm in the rescue mission. After that Gibraltar changed his life to helping those in need.

Gibraltar had many friends and colleagues who competed in the Apex Games and never came home. He decided to join the games to protect his friends and colleagues.

Mirage, also known as Elliot Witt, is one of the legends you need to pay for to be able to play. Elliot Witt is 30 years old and the youngest of four brothers. His brothers were fighting in the war but never came back home.

Witt was working as a bartender where he often heard stories about the Apex Games and how people got wealthy and famous got from it; however, he knew he couldn’t risk leaving his mother childless and therefore didn’t participate. His mother told him to follow his dream and gave him a set of customized holo devices and Mirage is now a part of the Apex Games.

Pathfinder is, at the moment, the only non-human legend in Apex Games. Pathfinder doesn’t know who his creator is and his only goal in life is to find his creator. He joined the Apex Games in hopes of gaining a following and hopefully getting noticed by his creator.

Wraith, also known as Bloodhound, is a very mysterious legend, and her name and age are unknown. Years ago Wraith woke up in an IMC Detention Facility for the mentally ill and had no memory of her life before. She also began hearing a distant voice in her head that kept her awake for days. She started to listen and trust the voice and the voice helped her handle the new powers she had gotten and she managed to escape the facility with help from the voice and her powers.

Wraith began a quest to find out who she really is and what they did with her in the facility. However, many of the facilities are buried underneath the Apex Games arena. Wraith has joined the Apex Games in hopes of finding out her true identity.
