Team Trees is a collaborative fundraising challenge which purpose is to plant 20 million trees by 2020. The challenge was started by the Youtubers MrBeast and Mark Robe. It all started when fans of MrBeast suggested he should plant 20 million trees to celebrate reaching 20 million subscribers on YouTube. When Mark Rober heard of that he quickly wanted to partner up with MrBeast to make the challenge become reality.

All the donations will go to Arbor Day Foundation which is a tree-planting organization that is going to plant one tree for every U.S. dollar donated. The trees will start to be planted in January 2020 and it will be done by no later than December 2022, the trees are going to be planted all over the world where there is a need of more trees. On November 6th they reached 13 million and the day after that they reached 14 million and now on the morning of November 8th they have around 14.3 million.

If you go to www.teamtrees.org, which is their official website, you will be greeted by a donation box where you can choose to donate 5, 20, 50 or 100 trees or you can choose another amount of your choice. You can also scroll down on the website and see the most recent donations and the top donations.

MrBeast Youtube channel
If Youtube in your country allows you to donate via Youtube you can also donate via MrBeast’s Youtube channel. Go to www.youtube.com/user/MrBeast6000 to read more about it.

Arbor Day Foundation’s website
You can also donate via the organisation MrBeast has teamed up with, Arbor Day Foundation. If you want to donate directly to them then go to www.arborday.org. The organisation is a nonprofit organisation which means that the money goes directly to planting the trees and not directly down in the wallet.

MRBEAST
MrBeast, who’s real name is Jimmy Donaldson, is a 21 years old Youtuber from North Carolina, USA. He began doing videos in 2012, at age 13, and his early content was mostly let’s plays and videos where he estimated the wealth of other Youtubers.

In 2017 he released an almost 24 hours long video where he counted to 100,000 and the video earned tens of thousands views in just a few days. MrBeast is most known for his videos where he donates thousands of dollar to Twitch streamer but he also has made videos where he, for an example, try to break glass using 100 megaphones, watched paint dry for an hour and tried to spin a fidget spinner for a day.

ARBOR DAY FOUNDATION
The Arbor Day Foundation is a nonprofit conservation and education organization that was founded in 1972 in Nebraska by John Rosenow. The foundation is supported by its members, donors and corporate sponsors that share the vision of a healthier and greener world. According to their statistics, they plant around 5 million trees in America’s forests per year and they have around 1 million members.
