This month we had the honour of interviewing badged designer Bug. Perhaps better known to some by her previous username Ennui, she has given us a variety of items in different styles throughout her years as a designer, and continues to do so today.

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself? Well the name is Marlene, I'm a 22 year old hairdresser from Norway who loves to play different games and listen to music.
How long have you been designing for VP and what initially sparked your interest in doing so? I've designed for VP since 2016 I think ? I always liked to draw and just tried to make my own design just for fun and at the time I thought it was the best thing ever hahah, looking back.. oh boy.
When did you become a badged designer? I first became a badged designer back in 2017.
Where do you get your design inspiration? I mostly get my inspiration from everyday people and different ads, and recently some tiktoks actually!
What program do you use for designing? And do you use a mouse or a drawing tablet? I use paint tool sai and a good ol' drawing tablet.
Approximately how long does it take you to design one set? Well it would depend on my mood completely, the fastest I've ever designed was 6 hours I think. Usually I get too caught up in details that most people probably wouldn't even notice I feel, and a skin can take up to 4 hours alone just to get the expressions right hehe.
How much time do you spend designing on a weekly/monthly basis? Lately I've been going through a rough patch in my life so I really have not designed too much lately but I'd like to prioritize getting some done now that my life seems to be going smoothly..ish again.
Do you have a set that means something special to you or that had a special story behind it when you created it? Can you tell us why / what that story is? Yes actually, my blue blooded vampire design was actually a fun little design I did with a little help from my niece to pick out different inspiration photos for! She's now 4 so at the time she was barely even talking, but she knew what she wanted ;')
