February is now over, and March marks the coming of spring. Soon the flowers will blossom, the leaves will be green again, and the sun will hopefully shine on us all. Just like the arrival of Spring, this magazine is also an important milestone: it is the 50th NewsTeam magazine! It is crazy to think that we have made so many magazines, and I am sure none of us had expected it to come so far when we made our first magazine at the end of January in 2019!
However, the 50th magazine and the end of February marks some sad changes for NewsTeam. Two of our beloved members, Atencia and Libertas, are leaving us after a long long time. These two have been such an integral part of NewsTeam the past few years, and it is very sad to lose them. We wish you all the best and are very excited to see what the future brings for you!

As always, the month kicked off with the Mega Credit Week. Since it was the month of love, most of the sets in the MCW were loved themed with plenty of heart items and red och pink coloured items. The Mega Credit Week was from January 30th to February 5th but eventually was extended with another week. If you are interested in taking a look at the sets then you can find them all in this forum.
This month we also got new manager sets! There are matching sets for male and female accounts, both designed by Devlicake. If you want to take see what the new manager set looks like, click the “Manager” button on the top bar on the screen and then you find the items there.
A new game was added to Virtualpopstar by the start of February. Almost a year after the 2048 game was added we now finally got a new game, PacMan! Etjen has also hinted that we in the future will also get updated rules on the site. We are looking forward to the changes and updates of the site.
After a busy start to the year, our two event-hosting teams continued the year on a more peaceful note, hosting a total of three events during the month.
Event Team
A month is not complete without at least one dress-up competition, so in that respect, the Event Team did not disappoint. This month's theme was of course Valentine's Day, with the team hosting a competition with the following cryptic title: I'm a lo❤️er. In this competition, participants had to use Legohouse's wardrobe and an old DM-item from 2020 – a red bodysuit – to create a suitable outfit. The twenty lucky winners all received a copy of a red outfit (for females) designed by Joob and Devilcake. To see all the entries, click here.
During the month, ET also hosted a couple of game nights, where users could join a game of Drawful 2 to receive some cool prizes, designed by Caprisun (female) and Aria (male). As the name suggests, the game involves drawing, following prompts. The twist is that there are several prompts, but only one of them is the real one. The objective of the game is to gain points, either by correctly guessing the right prompts, or tricking others into drawing your fake prompt. The game was livestreamed on Twitch, so even if you did not join, it was possible for you to watch as the intriguing rounds of the game unfolded.
Social Media Team
It is not difficult to understand why the Social Media Team chose to host their classic Who wore it best-dress up during a month when only a single competition was held – it is called a classic for a reason. This time round, the competition had a musical tone, as females had to use a harp in their outfits, while males were required to use a violin. The sixteen female and five male winners, who were announced on Twitter, each received one of the two matching sets for both female and males, designed by Whydoiexist. To see the entries, check out the thread here.
