Islamic Women (by Account deleted)

Being in a different part of the world can cause traditions and

customs to change in many ways. Especially the Women’s history in different

part of countries but, one of the biggest places in the world that has a lot of

diverse Women’s history is Islam. Islam is a country with many different

cultures than what you would find in the United States or even the United

Kingdom. Traditions change just like people change.

In the past Islamic Women’s history has been historical. Islamic women have made history in the Muslim faith culture that has made changes in our world. In the past days early Islamic women worked as nurses, teachers, nurses, and helpers in other activities around their country. There are many different women that have shaped the traditions in Islam from the past such as Afra bint Ubayd who is a mother of two children. She was martyred in the Battle of Badyr. She sacrificed herself for the sake of others in her country and even in our world today. Another woman important in the Islamic history is Asma bint Abu Bakr who is one of the most gracious women in the Islamic culture. She gave food to the holy prophet while they were all migrating to a new place. Women in Islamic history have made a wonderful impact in the past years.

In our world today there are also many Islamic Women who have made a huge difference and they are still making a huge difference as our world develops every single day. Benazir Bhutto is a former Prime Minister in Islam.  She was the first woman elected to lead a Muslim/Islam state. She is one of the greatest women known in Islam history because of her struggles to become an Islamic leader. Another woman in present day Islamic history is Leila Ahmed is an Islamic writer that writes about Islamic feminism. She was the first woman professor at Harvard Divinity School. Her actual descent is Egyptian but, she considers herself to be Islamic.  She has written many books such as,“Feminism and Cross-Cultural Inquiry: The terms of discourse in Islam" and “Women and Gender in Islam: Historical Roots of a Modern Debate”.

There are many good things to come in everyone’s lifetime. But, in the Islamic tradition and culture there are many different ground breakers that should be coming. Many Islamic women have been treated like property instead of actual human beings. Women should be able to be treated as equally as men can be. These futuristic women in the Islamic culture will make a difference. One person can make a change.

To be who you are in this world you must be yourself. Women cannot be themselves when there are people belittling them. How can anyone work in circumstances where they are treated badly? Think about that next time you hurt someone in our world. Women are important to our history and they always will be.
