The Importance of Eating Healthy (by Account deleted)

In this article, I’d like to talk about something that every single one of us deals with on a daily basis: food. Every day, we have breakfast, dinner, and tea or we have the occasional snack. Not everyone eats healthy though. In fact, most people don’t anymore. Some try very hard but simply have no knowledge about food, others consider eating healthy to be unimportant.

One of my favourite celebrity cooks, however, puts a lot of effort into eating healthy and getting others to eat healthier. He’s widely known for his cooking/food shows, his cookbooks and most of all for his campaign against the use of processed foods in schools. As many of you probably already guessed, I am, of course, talking about Jamie Oliver, a 38 year old cook from Essex, England. He’s most concerned with the health of children and getting them to eat healthier. He tries to teach them about what they eat and how their food is made.

The horrible reality is that most children have no idea what they’re eating. And I don’t mean that they don’t know what goes in lasagna for example, but even if they eat a vegetable without it being processed, most of them won’t be able to tell what vegetable it is they’re eating. They might not even know that it’s a vegetable.  I find this quite shocking.
They’re not to blame for their eating habits though, it’s mostly their school. Most children have dinner at school and many might eat breakfast there too, so it’s rather important that those meals are healthy. They usually aren't. Children nowadays will live up to 10 years shorter than their parents because of their poor eating habits. If you want to know why, Jamie will explain it all in the following video:
