The English server of Virtual Popstar opened on December 27th, 2012. Back then, there weren't many clothes, and what little they had were either uploaded from dollzmania, or designed by ShadowJess. 

Each player was given a daily allowance when they logged in based on their current level.

There was also a studio you could own, where you could buy furniture (which was fairly expensive) and chat with other users. Unfortunately not many people used it, and was soon taken down.

Back then, 30 credits were considered a lot for an item, with many going for pd or under 10 credits. Most people were looking for the manager items, with one of the most expensive things sold for 500k pd. 

The only groups back then were the NT (known as The Paparazzi Crew), the Moderators, and the ET. The other groups were added throughout the years, with the most recent being the Forum Team.

Later, the WOF, games, battles, achievements, and credit sets were added. Most recently some of the improvements have been layering of clothing, and a rework of the promotional system.

The site has been through many changes, and I look forward to seeing what else is in store.

As I am sure you've noticed there have been many positive changes happening on the site over the past few months. There have been many different changes and I'm going to tell you a little bit about them, just in case you aren't aware.

Two new admins ~
In the past few months, we have had two new admins, Miranda and Sabrina (chandelier). They are both lovely people who are working to make sure that VP can be the best that it can possibly be. I think you should all go and leave them a message saying thank you for all the hard work they do.

PT Points ~ This is probably the most recent change to take place, as this change only occurred on Friday. What are PT points? PT points are an extra perk to sharing your voting link to vote. Share you voting link and get people to sign up to the website and you will be earning yourself some promotion point. What are they used for? Well they are used to buy yourself exclusive items in the shop that can only be brought using those points. And you will still get the PT badge so you get plenty of perks. If you want to know more then be sure to click on the P symbol that appears next to your credits.

New team members ~ Over the recent months all the teams have had applications and the new members have been doing a great job. A big well done to all the new team members!

And finally, another positive change is that male avatars can now get outfits on the wheel of fortune and they also get credit set items! This is great because now everyone gets fabulous outfits.

I can't wait to see the other positive changes coming our way on vp, I hope there are some exciting things in store!

Hey guys, it’s Hailee here! Before I begin, I would like to wish a warm welcome to all of the new members who have been joining Virtual Popstar (VP)! I hope that your few first weeks here have been a blast, and you have made many new friends. From myself, and the rest of the VP community, we welcome you with arms wide open!

Virtual Popstar is about building an online community, you meet new people, make new friends, and even start to form a bond with some of the members. This is why as a team, we want to get new members as we want our community to grow and be the best one that there is!

As we build our community, we become more active! This means more people are posting in the forums, as well as bringing new ideas to the site! Or even more people playing the games trying to score big for that weekly item! The possibilities are endless. But most of all, new members means more friends that we can make!

Being a new member myself once too, don’t be afraid to post in forums, or start a conversation with someone! It’s the only way to make friends and make a mark within out lovely community. For some, you could say that VP would be considered as a second home.

Again, best of luck to our new members in our community, and do not hesitate to ask someone a question! From all of us to you, we hope you all have a fun member appreciation week, I know we all have a few tricks up our sleeves  ;) X

What will happen to VP in the future? We can't know for certain since we can't really predict the future. But there are a couple of things which are certain.

Firstly, there have been more and more players coming here, and I think that this database will continue to grow. People are using their links and promoting the site. Thus, it's bound that we're going to be getting more active players. This means a bigger, even more diverse community. We can't wait to welcome more people!

Secondly, we're going to be getting more and more awesome outfits, quality designs, thanks to all of the hard work the designers put into their creation. Their time and dedication not only assures that we'll have cool and amazing items, but it also means there will be an improvement in quality. So honestly, thank you designers for making one of the main features of this game so great.

Lastly, there are bound to be more and more new cool features. In the past few months, Kaj has been listening to the request of users and has made several ideas possible. So if you have an idea just post it in the idea section. Or if you're wondering what new features may pop up, give that section a look. You never know when a new feature will be made possible, a feature you might recognize from the idea section!

All in all, this game is going places, especially if you take a look at how it was a year or two ago, let's not even mention the difference from when it started until now. We have the whole community to thank for the ongoing of this site, and we hope that the majority will stick around to witness any new changes in the future!
