What was the inspiration behind this look? i got super excited when the genie/spirit outfit was the manager set and i wanted to do an outfit by using a lot items from that set!
Was there any key item you wanted as the focal point of this look? Why? (if there was one) not really, i just collected my favourite parts from the solovey manager outfit together and started just putting other items to the outfit!
How would you describe your overall style? fantasy(ish?) i guess. even tho i really like doing street style inspired looks a lot!
What is your favourite item that you included in this look? aa i cant decide! i really love the manager set parts a lot, but all of the different posed hands might actually be my favourites since i use them in the most of my fantasy outfits.
FILLORY:
What was the inspiration behind this look? Like most of us have I've participated in a lot of fashion contests lately, and this theme was evil. It got a little out of hand, I usually go way bloodier or use the clown head. I incorporated some steampunk vibes, which I have a love for at the moment, but also an apocalypse survivor-ish type of thing. If you didn't know the apocalypse is my favorite genre if you can call it that. Needless to say, I didn't win, but look what came out of it! The outfit has been chosen! I'm completely flabbergasted.
Was there any key item you wanted as the focal point of this look? Why? (if there was one) Do you see those yellow eyes looking into your soul? Ever since I got them I've had an urge to use them, but it has been quite the challenge to fit them with a skin and other makeup. Also adding the dying butterfly wing, miaw.
How would you describe your overall style? Ah, can you hold on a second, I need to browse my previous looks. There we go. It often depends on which makeup look I create, for me, it's utterly important to have a perfect base (both skin and makeup) otherwise the canvas is not ready to be drawn on. If I had to describe my style, mmh, a crossover between street style (preferably Tokyo), steampunk, avant-garde, fantasy, horror - OH and a squeeze of badass creepiness. Can you tell? I sometimes do this irl, but it doesn't come out as great, but I do like to make people stare. Putting things together that don't necessarily seem to go well together, and finding a way with the help of other items is pretty much what I do. I would actually prefer if people told me what they thought of my style and how they would describe it.
What is your favourite item that you included in this look? Log onto VP, go to the fashion shop, section hats, p.6 item 2, 400 pd. This has been my go-to item for a lot of looks, it's versatile - basically the icing on the cake. Shockingly, I often refuse to wear hair on my avatar, I'd much rather use five items from the hat section to create a balance in my look. As I've mentioned, I value the base higher than anything, hairs often cover that up or make it unrecognizable. This way I can also add details.
PHOTOSYNTHESIS
Are you enjoying the change from female to male account in terms of styling outfits? Yeah it's a lot different. It's especially different having a much smaller wardrobe to work with. Different in both a good way and bad way. Good because it took me way too long to go through my wardrobe to find something, but bad because I think "hey this item would make this outfit better" and realizing I don't have it anymore.
What was the inspiration behind this look? A lot of my outfits are just trial and error. I'll think "what would look good this this particular item" and try a bunch of things on until I'm satisfied. This was actually my first look I made when I became a male account and it calmed my nerves knowing it was well received. Was there any key item you wanted as the focal point of this look? Why? (if there was one) I started off with the flowers. Somsoc did an amazing job and I wanted to show I could make a great outfit with them. I think what surprised me the most was how well the jacket looked with the whole outfit. I was originally going to channel my inner felicity and go all pink but I just though "hmm, I wonder" and it turned out better than expected. How would you describe your overall style? I'm not sure if I've found my proper style on my male account yet, it's kinda all over the place. I'm very much into the fantasy and cybernetic aspects of making outfits. There was a helmet on my female account I LOVED because it always made me feel science fiction like and it just made great outfits. I hope to kinda evolve that into my male outfits and over time gain more items that would help me do that. What is your favourite item that you included in this look? That's a tough question because I like most of the items. The Encrede skin is super cute, I love any kind of wings, the jacket is so colourful yet not overwhelmingly so, the hat is Rowan and frankly one of the reasons I decided to switch hehe, and the flowers are so pretty and I love them so much. If I HAD to pick, I'd probably pick the flowers.
