This month, the youtubers announced their new round of applications! The YouTube Team is currently one of the smaller teams on the site, and they are responsible for the official VP YouTube channel. Their videos consist of vp related content, but also other fun videos such as recipes and vlogs. If you want to know more about the YouTube team, check out this article.
Starting off this month of new competitions, was ET with the final round in the Norse mythology inspired series, Ascension to Asgard. This final round, End of Everything, was a meme comp based on the story of Ragnarok, with prizes designed by Delcinne. And then, on 15 December, together with the winners of the meme round, ET could announce the overall winners of the series, who were rewarded with the Viking sets designed by Lamb.

ET’s first dressup competition of the month was based in the punk movement, and then particularly the fashion. The task was simple - dress your avatar in punk! The prizes for this event were sets designed by Upshift (M) and Lonika (F). Check out the prizes, as well as all the fantastic looks created for this competition, here.
As it is December, there were of course both winter and holiday themed competitions this month! First up was a classic, SMT’s who wore it best. For this winter themed WWIB, females were asked to style a red and wite vest with christmasy pompoms, while males competed in trying to style a typical ‘ugly christmas sweater’. The prize for this event was a collection of scarves in different colours and styles for both genders, all designed by Bones.

Next up from SMT was another dressup, this time with the holiday appropriate theme: Golden Christmas. As the title suggests, the task was to dress your avatar up in golden tones, and a lot of people took this opportunity to start dressing in holiday glam. The prize sets for this event were both designed by Ouch, and you can see the full preview of the prizes, as well as scroll through to see all the entries, here.

As well as being a holiday competition, this next comp was also the first round of a new series based on the well known world of Harry Potter. For the Yule Ball competition, the task was to find a partner and dress up in matching outfits to attend the Yule ball, like the Patil twins. The winners of this event received the gorgeous sets designed by Annie, showcased in the thread linked above.
Moving on from the dressup competitions, FT’s holiday competition this year was a photography comp. This time, the theme was Christmas trees, and the task was to take a photo, or dig up an old one, of a Christmas tree. Matching female and male sets designed by Allie were awarded to all the winners. On 23 December, SMT hosted an interactive competition based event. The Christmas festivities event was split into three games; word scramble, Christmas movie quiz and guess the vp user. After more than a hundred and fifty pages of games and chatting, 30 lucky winners received the fantastic prizes designed by Lamb (F) & Petal (M)!

And finally, let’s talk about ET’s final competition of the month and also the year. This comp is about summarising the year we’re now leaving behind us, because in many ways, 2020 did sort of suck. However, the comp 2020 sucks is not about dwelling over everything that didn’t go your way, but rather to look at how you’ve changed throughout the year. You can still enter this dressup competition, so check out this thread for all the rules and how to enter!
